The Guardians of Dashanzi

Dashanzi Art District is the now infamous art zone located in Beijing East suburbs. It grew on the remains of an old military factory complex and is now very trendy among Beijing upper class and expats.

In fact, as most of the real beijing artists fled from there, it mostly results in conventional and artificially subversive art.

The strangeness of this huge art zone and the mix of old factories and galleries make it really worth seeing though.
